Courier Deliveries

We are all locked down, well most of we caring souls, there are the inevitable loons who still wander about as the lockdown doesn’t apply to them – they believe.

One of the essential services is the courier delivery guy. The lockdown could be seen as a boon to them, the nation is sitting at home awaiting their call. No hunting for a safe place, leaving a ‘sorry you were out note’ they can leave the parcel on the door step and be halfway back to their van before you open the door. A thumbs up, maybe a shout of your name and they’re off.

Good news for the delivery guys you might say, their job had got a whole lot easier. Except normally they are expected to deliver 85 parcels a day, now with no interruptions and an increased online shopping demand goodness what the delivery target is now.

There are winners and losers in this lock down. A winner is certainly Jeff Bezos, whose Amazon operation has increased in value – giving him and extra $23bn in his back pocket.

The meandering thoughts of someone with too much time on his hands. Tending to see the obscure and irrelevant in most events I have been forced to record this by family members as a means of diverting attention away from them. But I see their plan.
