Bank Deposit Rate

Nothing is more definite that death and taxes. We need to perhaps add low bank rates to the equation.

The Bank of England’s headmaster of dosh lower the bank rate to a gnats whisker above beggar all allowing the banks to immediately drop their interest rates to lots of zeros after the decimal point. It now lies in the same ball park as the Rona virus, at about one thousandth the width of a human hair.

The irony is they need to tell you this in writing and the notification has cost the bank around 100 times the full year interest in paper, envelopes and stamps.

At the same time the banks say they are suffering but they don’t say they need to protect the top brass bonus by firing another couple of thousand employees.

The meandering thoughts of someone with too much time on his hands. Tending to see the obscure and irrelevant in most events I have been forced to record this by family members as a means of diverting attention away from them. But I see their plan.
